English Garden Editorial at Meadowlark 1939
Late last summer, some vendor friends and I collaborated to produce a gorgeous Bridgerton-inspired styled wedding shoot at Meadowlark 1939 in Griffin, GA. Meadowlark’s property crawls with ivy, magnolia trees, historic statues, clear pools and wandering pathways. Southern charm meets a classic English garden at this historic venue.
I had the best time planning and designing this shoot with my friend Martha Easton of Easton England Events. Our goal was to bring to life an English garden party in the heart of the South. To do this, classic family heirlooms, including sterling silver flatware, Herend china, and a French family Bible dating back to the 1800s served as core elements of our shoot.
Our color story included shades of French blue, lavender, peach and sage green. Perryander Studio ran with our soft palette by producing loose, organic floral arrangements that flanked our tablescape and ceremony entryway.
To further instill our design, we partnered with two different stationery designers to produce invitation suites. Melanie of Wild Rabbit Press designed a light and airy suite complete with delicate floral details and French blue script. Kelsey of Lairsey Paper Co. brought contrast to our pastel color palette with a moody floral envelope liner, paired with vintage stamps from Little Postage House and intricate gold calligraphed envelopes. Both suites brought such beautiful detail to our overall design!
Our good friend Taylor of Taylor Dawn styled details and produced the most stunning flatlays in partnership with our photographer, Katie of Katie York Photography.
Katie effortlessly captured every detail of the day, including a tablescape flanked with beautiful white chairs from Milieu Decor. Milieu also provided a stunning vintage gold bar cart and marble cake table. Desiree of Milieu has an incredible eye for design and curates the most unique rentals. We are so lucky to have partnered with her for this editorial.
